My name is Esmeralda, and I’m the founder, owner, and one-woman show behind Bookish Ties.
I started building this business in 2024 while working a physically exhausting warehouse job that left me feeling unmotivated, isolated, and unsure of my direction—feelings that reminded me of a lonely time earlier in my life. During these times, I found comfort and escape in the one thing that never failed me—romance books.
From contemporary and dark romance to romantasy, small-town, mafia, why choose, monsters, sports, billionaires, omegaverse, dragons, aliens, and werewolves—if it’s romance, I’ve probably read it. Books helped me through difficult moments, and they reminded me that connection, joy, and love can exist in so many forms.
That love is what inspired Bookish Ties.
