My Name is Esmeralda, the founder, owner, and one-woman show behind Bookish Ties.
I started working on this Business in 2024 while working in a dead-end warehouse job that made me feel so physically tired and unmotivated to go out and do anything other than sit in my room. This feeling took me back to when I was still in school and felt so alone that I didn’t know what I was doing with my life.

Though sometimes it was a struggle, one thing that always helped me get through the difficult times was reading romance books, and I mean all things romance-related. Contemporary? Of course, Dark Romance? Obviously, Romantasy? Absolutely: small town, mafia, why choose, monsters, sports, billionaire, omegaverse, dragons, aliens, werewolves, you name it, I’ve probably read it.

If you couldn’t tell already, I love to read romance books. That's why I started this business: to share my love with others who feel the same way I do. I want to build a community of romance readers who understand that everyone has unique and diverse reading preferences. My goal is to make this a safe place for every romance reader.
